Switzerland Stamps Lot Pro Juventute Series 1933 - 1960 Not Complete 56 Stamps

The item for sale is a group of 56 stamps that were issued in Switzerland during the period 1933 to 1960.  The stamps bear surcharges to raise money to go toward the charity Pro Juventute.  The charity benefited Swiss youth.  The stamp were issued in 5, 10, 20 and 30 rappen denominations initially.  The higher denomination stamps are often scarcer in used condition as they were expensive with the surcharge and thus saved and collected.  The stamps are used with  one or two exceptions.  Some stamps were improperly removed from envelops resulting in loss of paper.  In some instances stamps were cut from envelopes.  A few stamps were trimmed too close.  It is a good starter set that can be completed and upgraded.  Some have catalog values of several dollars.  The stamps only are included.  The book pages are not.
